Scarce WW II king's crown enamelled lapel badge with buttonhole fitting makers details for Marples & Beasley Birmingham and individual issue number to the reverse. A homing pigeon on a light blue ground within a crowned furled circlet bearing the title. Trained homing pigeons were used by the Army,R.A.F., Home Guard and Special Forces overseas to get message back to England.  read more
