Formed in 1964 by the merger of the Women's Junior Air Corps and the Girls Training Corps. Kenya Independent Squadron.

Rare WW II cast black-brass Special Forces cap badge with two integral lugs to the reverse. A compass pointing to the " K.I.S. " title scroll to the centre of a wreath of laurel above tri-part angular scrolls bearing the motto. To the top of the wreath is a small letter " D" in recognition of the Units founder Major J.J.Drought. [ It is thought that less than 100 of these badges were produced.]  read more
