Rare sheet brass elliptical shaped slouch hat badge with two wire loops and original scarlet " pinked " backing cloth to the reverse, " Comptons Horse " Lord Alwyne Compton D.S.O. the M.P for Bedford raised this troop for the Boer War as the 28th. Company, 4th.Battalion Imperial Yeomanry who were later to become the Bedfordshire Yeomanry.  read more
