King's Royal Rifles" on a maltse cross carrying the South Africa honour surmounted by the crown upon the motto tablet, "Celer Et Audax" Formed in 1894 this Cadet unit had the distinction of being the only one awarded the South Africa honour after serving with the City Imperial Volunteers in South Africa.
