Very fine Victorian officers silver gilt and enamel Home Service helmet plate with three loops to the reverse. The thistle to the voided centre of the motto " Nemo Me Impune Lacessit " backed by undamaged green enamel upon the Star of the Order of the Thistle that bears the title scroll, " The Royal Scots." mounted upon a crowned multi-rayed star plate. {Worn only from 1891-1903}
