17th. { Northern } Division.

Scarce WW I embroidered example of the white, " Dot-Dash " on a scarlet backing said to represent the number " 17 " when viewed from above. This Division was composed mainly of Northern units, Manchesters, East and West Yorks, etc., but also included the Dorsets and some from the Midlands. { One moth nip to the top edge.}
