Extremely rare WW I overall insignia. A fir-tree and the letters, " W F S " within an oval embroidered in light brown on a khaki backing. Worn by a " Tree-Measurer " who's job was to select and measure trees suitable for felling. The " W.F.S. " were originally part of the Women's Land Army but later became part of the Ministry of Supply under the Board of Trade. { Approx 11 x 8 cms.}
