Rare victorian 1880's officers field service cap in black melton cloth with gold wire piping to the sides and the crown. Bullion wire embroidered Staff Officer's cap badge to the left side and two gilt victorian " Army Medical Staff " buttons to the front. The black oil-cloth interior bears an early " Hawkes & Co Piccadilly " retailers gold embossed stamp. [ Moth holes around the cap badge and two small ones to the left side ]
