The gold wire embroidered R.A.F. eagle and a sunset below an arched title scroll " Ocean Weather Service " surmounted by a red velvet inset king's crown. Affixed to an R.A.F. Inspectorate of Clothing Master pattern card dated 1948 complete with wax seal and " C.I.C." card to the reverse.
