A white metal fouled anchor and the letters,"R.N.M.B.R." on a ground of padded black velvet within double gold wire circles,surmounted by a red velvet inset crown. [Backing material absent revealing metal "stiffening wire".] [Formed early in 1914 the R.N.M.B.R. patrolled docks and harbours watching for any signs of enemy activity especially mines or submarines.]
