Rare officers Victorian white metal helmet plate with two [of three ] loops to the reverse. A strung bugle horn and a shield bearing the Arms of Westminster and Middlesex on a ground of black velvet to the centre of a circlet bearing the title, "3rd.Or Royal Westminster Middlesex ". Around the centre a wreath of laurel carrying the unusual honour "Mediterranean" all mounted upon a multi-rayed star plate surmounted by the crown.
