The Star and Crescent to the centre of a strap bearing the title,"Hungerford Troop R.B.Y.C." on a hob-nailed star on an ornately scrolled back-plate surmounted by the crown. [In 1875 the title changed to Royal Berkshire Yeomanry Cavalry]
