Munitions Worker.

Scarce WW I gilt and enamel lapel badge with original brooch pin fitting to the reverse worn by a female munitions worker. An artillery shell with wings to the centre of a red,white and blue enamel triangle that bears,"Speed up Ships & Aeroplanes". The reverse has the title,"Did Her Bit On Munitions" a registration number,and a tablet "Great War 1914-1918." [See also item 15409 for the variant pattern]
