Scarce and unusual WW II embroidered early pattern locally produced black shoulder strap bearing the shield of the Crusader's Cross in red and white with two loops to the reverse. This was the original design for the Eighth Army, but considered that it might be confused with the signs for the Red Cross as on ambulances, and Field Hospitals so the well know Golden Yellow cross was adopted.  read more
