Rare embroidered example of the " Preliminary Flying Air Gunners " qualification badge. The letters, " A G " in white within a laurel wreath on a black backing. In 1949 the Royal Air Force introduced a series of preliminary flying badges to be worn on the tunic pocket until replaced by the appropriate flying badge.
